Ewald & Minette from Bexhill required a double carport for their cars. The area that they wanted to use was open to the elements, with harsh sun and rain making the position less than ideal in its current form. Storms on the North Coast can be damaging, and the peace of mind of knowing your vehicles are safe from hail is very valuable indeed.
They called Atlas Awnings to enquire about a cover for the area to make better use of the existing space, protection form storms, as well as provide shelter while getting in and out of the cars.

The existing parking area didn’t provide great access to the house in wet weather, or offer much protection form the harsh Australian elements.
Atlas Awnings Design Consultant, Geoff Pratten, called out to site & suggested a couple of options (1) a free standing V-line Skillion carport & (2) an Insulated Skillion carport. Ewald & Minette chose the V-line Skillion solution because of the cost savings. With steel posts and colourbond downpipes & gutters, the structure would complement the existing house.
Colour matching to the existing house was an important consideration using Colourbond “surfmist” for the roof and “monument” for guttering.

The completed car port provided a sheltered parking area, while adding great aesthetic value to the house.
With Atlas looking after the plans, engineering requirements and Council Approvals, Ewald & Minette, were able to enjoy the finished product without having to spend hours on filling out paperwork.
Ewald & Minette were extremely happy with the result saying
“Our cars are now safe from storms!! And it looks fantastic, just what we wanted”
