Les and Louise of Lismore Heights found the existing single skin roof they had on the back patio had deteriorated after many years. They needed to replace the roof with something that was more practicable. The area was very hot in the summer and cold in the winter even though they had glass panels to help regulate the temperature.
They called Atlas Awnings. Geoff, our Design Consultant, visited their home and recommended an insulated patio cover.
On further investigation, Geoff, observed that the beams and posts and the glass panels were in excellent condition and did not need replacing. This to Les and Louise was important as the price of the replacement did not include items that were not required.
Atlas Awnings also took care of the demolition of the old roof and the removal. This is sometimes an important consideration when upgrading a patio roof. Atlas knew what needed to be saved and what needed to be demolished, saving the stress of hiring a third party or doing it yourself.
The spectacular view was not inhibited in any way with the new roof. Now Les and Louise can spend more time relaxing on their patio enjoying this view. By installing an insulated roof 2 LED lights could be added so this area can be used of a night as well as during the day.
The insulated patio roof was installed on the existing posts and beams, minimising the costs and construction time. Atlas always consults with the client to get the best result for their budget.
