This client at Tintenbar called Atlas Awnings to look at their current outdoor entertaining area and recommend a solution.
The existing area had a beautiful hardwood deck with an existing semi-permanent structure that didn’t suit the style of the deck or house. As you can see from the before photo, protection from the weather was also high on the list of priorities. The beautiful garden setting was a key feature of the outdoor area, so needed to be left open and unobstructed.

The existing deck area before the job. Rain through the semi-permanent roof structure reduced the usability of the outdoor area.
After consultation with the client, we decided an Insulated Flyover Patio Awning would suit the situation and the budget. The flyover roof would easily attach to the house with roof extender brackets, thereby minimising the need for major works to the existing building.
Merbau posts and beams were used to complement the existing hardwood deck. The posts were attached to the existing deck structure to minimise the impact on the original deck construction. Colourbond guttering was matched to the existing guttering, with 90mm downpipes to the ground.
The insulated roof added a classy finish to the outdoor area, and provided a cooler shade area for the summer months. The installation of led lighting and ceiling fan extend the usable hours of the deck.

The finished fly over patio roof has given the client many more hours of use from their beautiful hard wood deck
The finished job has added a classy finish to the clients home, and fits well with the hardwood deck and folding doors, while the roof and Colourbond guttering match the existing finishes on the guttering and weatherboards.
We are happy with the result, and so is the client.
