Freda from Byron Bay had a beautiful Alfresco Area but found she could only use it occasionally because of the weather.
She wanted to entertain and relax without the interference from the wind, rain and sun. She also found it very hot in the summer and the cold wind in the winter made it impossible to use. She was very concerned that any addition would take away the sleek look of her home.
The beautiful alfresco area was the perfect spot to sit on a summer afternoon, but any wind or rain would spoil the party.
She rang Atlas Awnings. Geoff, our Sales Consultant, visited Freda at her home and, after looking at the area, suggested she install xChannel awnings.
They decided to install these to the front and north of her home as the southern side did not pose the same problem. With the colour of ice white chosen, the awnings would enhance the sleek look of her home and will block the sun, heat, wind and rain by up to 97%.
The outside view of the alfresco area is not hindered by the addition of the xChannel Awnings. Freda can now sit with the awnings open, or quickly use the motorised functions to close off the weather.
In keeping with the sleek look an infill with the same Ice White fabric was placed in the gable above the xChannel awning at the front of the house.
Freda was extremely happy with the end result, Saying
