Our client in Goonellabah was looking for some ideas on renovating their back patio area. The patio was reasonably flat and open, but the existing patio roof structure wasn’t complementing the area.
The timber roof was not large enough to cover the space during wet weather, and the run off made the side of the house undesirable after rain. The timber fence made the area feel darker and smaller than it needed to be.
It was decided that the existing timber structure would be replaced by a Skillion patio awning to match the existing house roof in style and angle.

The old patio cover was too small, and didn’t fit with the nice colors and styles of the existing brick and tile house.
Once the concrete deck was constructed, Atlas installed the V-Line Flatdeck roofing. The existing guttering was removed, and colourbond guttering in the same style as the house was connected to the stormwater drain. This eliminated water run off issues from the previous patio cover.
Aluminium beams and posts were matched to the colour of the house, making the new skillion roof fit right in with the existing look and feel of the house.
The new improvement has made the area more open, allowing more light and breeze to flow through the backyard are.
If you have a situation similar to this, give Atlas Awnings a call. We can send one of our consultants to your house of business to discuss the best way for you to improve your alfresco area.
